Radio Siboney was doubly awarded in this April 2021; nothing less than the First Place in Varied Programs and another award in Female Voice for Kenia Campusano, at the end of the 4th Edition of the Ultrasound Online Festival that took place in Las Tunas under the premise: Radio is constant information and close company.
In addition to Radio Siboney, from Santiago de Cuba, several provinces participated in the 4th Edition of the Online Ultrasound Festival for a total of 129 works of young and experienced professional creators identified with all audiences, which were examined by the jury, from March 30 to April 1, 2021.
CMDV Radio Siboney presented the show ¨El Órgano de la Alegría¨ (The Happy Organ), dedicated to the Organ of Paris, scripted and directed by Misael Lageire, with the voice of Kenia Campusano, produced by Oscar Quintana and consultant Zulima Nicolau.
¨El Órgano de la Alegría¨ won the second place among the varied programs and the female speaker award, in the 4th Edition of the Online Ultrasound Festival promoted by colleagues from Las Tunas, here in eastern Cuba.
Radio Siboney is the only instrumental radio station in the province of Santiago de Cuba, with a Web site: www.radiosiboney.cu and a news program EntreArte.
These are timely awards because it is an instrumental radio station, the only one that is inserted as part of rehabilitation rooms, in the cardio center of Santiago de Cuba and even in surgical intervention rooms, as well as in hotels and restaurants. It is a station that is very popular mainly among senior citizens and university students.

A radio plant for instrumental music? A radio station for cultural information? Well, yes, here it is, in the Sueño neighborhood, in the city of Santiago de Cuba, the city of Matamoros and Electo Silva, Harold Gramatges and Dulce María Serret.
On August 9th, Radio Siboney will turn 53 years old.
«To be cultured is the only way to be free,» Jose Marti wrote, in one of his most emphatic sentences. And another one: «Music is man escaped from himself».
Music has its own language, whether it comes from the human voice, a string is plucked, a flute is played, or a whole orchestra. That is the field that we defend, from our specialization, as a gift to the audience, as a seal of our own, as a distinction that Santiago de Cuba -the city of music, the city of angels, the heroic city- portrays before the Cuban radio family.

What names come to mind at this point? Those of founders like Hilda Gonce and Gisela Bell; the unforgettable maestro Jose Julian Padilla, Ana Gloria Cambara and Gisela Gainza; that of a giant like Lucía Dalis Mustelier; or those of Mercy, Misael, Zulima, Kenia María, María Elena, Ismael, Taiyana, Adita, Misael, Josefa, Yaliannis, Susana… all my colleagues.
Radio Siboney is as small as a seed, but it planted a forest in half a century of music and company. Behind the microphones, always with you, day by day, in festivities and in difficult times. From this municipality wanting to touch the world, yours, which is always the most important.
