The monolith where the remains of the unforgettable Commander in Chief Fidel Castro rest today becomes as a major point of attention these days. In front of a rock of volcanic origin that does not symbolize an end, on the contrary, the restart of a more difficult, but not impossible stage.

We constantly return with the motivation of the 97th birthday of the undefeated Commander (Fidel Castro); there you meet again with friends and strangers with a bouquet of flowers, or simply, a rose and perhaps, neither one nor the other, but with the thought of Fidel, with the permanent commitment of: to fight and not to give up no matter how hard the new times may be.

In the midst of a resounding solemnity, everyone approaches with a slow and rhythmic pace; suddenly, they are surprised by the sound that announces another change of the Guard of Honor; there the flight of birds, among them, the pigeons that nest very close to the monolith as a message of the real thing that always accompanied the leader, today more positioned on the Internet as a sign of his limitless stature.

There is a wreath with the dedication on behalf of the people of Cuba and everything is so integrating that the look always falls in the perspective of the polished green marble slab and the name of Fidel in clear and inseparable low relief, thanks to the brilliant artistic creation of a peasant, Antonio Samuel Matos, who claims that he is not an artist, but the passage of seven years confirms the opposite.

Mr. Matos, was the man behind the Eternal Rock, a challenge he took on tirelessly until he put his health at risk, but he kept his word and that was enough to not move away from his masterpiece, much less in August, the month of birches and Leos, of the purple hearts as strong as the thrust of horses, capable of giant figure operations and rectify the best of economists, as Fidel’s genius used to do quickly.

After six decades, Fidel is here, there and everywhere as a leader. The magnitude of his analyses and predictions is surprising, for example, when he foresees a multipolar world, the conflicts due to the lack of drinking water, oil, climate change, the need for better prepared human resources, unstoppable science and computerization, the gradual fall of the dollar, the leadership of Russia, China and the return of the political left to Latin America, above all, the need for respect, education, culture and the defense of true history for the sake of unity, intelligence and competition in the solution of the problems that affect humanity.

For this reason, more and more people pay tribute to Fidel in the Santa Ifigenia cemetery, in his Santiago de Cuba where he was forged, grew up, fought and won. And other Augusts will come and we will return there with the motivation of the birthday of the undefeated Commander.

Great joy. To be there, in front of the rock of volcanic origin that does not symbolize an end, on the contrary, the beginning of a more difficult but not impossible stage.
